I work in the IT industry for an organisation that supplies software systems in to the Wholesale and Retail sectors.

I have spent the last 20 years helping implement ERP and eCommerce solutions latterly concentrating on multi-channel opportunities.

I now have a Marketing Role. The biggest challenge I face is highlighting to customers and colleagues alike that the new battleground is not “mobile” or “User Experience” or “single view of the customer” etc etc but it is all about DELIVERY and the importance of the supply chain.

“Don’t make a delivery promise that you cannot keep!” and the IT solutions that give you the knowledge to withdraw options that are impacted by problems in the supply chain.
