As the son of a farmer my interaction with supply chains started at an early age, picking fruit on the family farm and working in the farm shop on weekends selling fruit to local families. When I was old enough to drive I would deliver fruit to local greengrocers. I now run food and wine events for a major Australian media company, creating opportunities that connect producers, retailers, chefs and consumers. As Kate’s brother I have long argued that would be a retail market for her honeycomb icecream given it’s almost cult like status amongst those in the know!
