Most purchases I make have involved a supply chain in some way. This might be a sandwich I buy at the supermarket, which perhaps started at a farm to produce salad and cheese, moved up the supply chain to be assembled with bread, then was sent to the supermarket. It could also be a dress I buy at a boutique store – the cotton may have been picked in Asia and turned into cotton thread and material, then sent to a factory in Turkey to be sewn and finally sent to the boutique in the UK! Supply chains are everywhere!
