I chair an organisation called the Milk Supply Association, we are a group of farms who came together to try strengthen our position within our supply chain. We felt/feel that we do not receive fair value for the our product, milk, from our processing customer and their retailing customers. We want to create long term relationships that truly value the part we play and understands the long term nature of farming. We want to be part of a supply chain that genuinely values the business’s that are underpinning brand integrity and customer offering, not one that plays lip service to values, goals and corporate social responsibility.
